About IID, UK

We are a non-Profitable, Non-Religious, Non-Political but Charitable Organisation, we are based in London with our Branch in Northampton.

What do we do: We see to the Welfare of our Community and our People both in Ijebu-Igbo and in Diaspora. We do this by complimenting the efforts of the Government with whatever resources we have.

What are our Achievements So far?

Health Support Initiative

We were able to donate hospital Beds to all the Government Hospitals in Ijebu-Igbo when we saw the appalling state of the facilities in those Hospitals then, this was done with the supply of other Clinical Kits. Through this initiative, the then Minister for Health. Late Professor Babatunde Osotimehin was able to support us with a Blood Bank which situated in Oke-Ife General Hospital and it's still there till now.

Educational Support Initiative

We were able to Coach our Students towards their NECO/WAEC/JAMB Exams, this we did when we noticed the pass-rate in the Community. The nearly 500 Students, distributed across the region, were given this incredible opportunity, made possible through one of the ‘Our Souls of Our Community Professor ‘ , the Emeritus Professor Lai Ogunkoya. He did this wholeheartedly and selflessly by providing the Lecturers and the Venue - we only paid for the materials and the remunerations of the Teachers..

Infrastructure Support Initiative

The Only Library in the whole Local Government of the Ijebu North is situated in Ijebu-Igbo. Our attention was drawn to it and it was an eye sore. We couldn't resist the temptation of emptying our account and canvassing for extra help when we were to renovate it. This iconic structure was built by Mr Ademola Adedeji who happened to be the Local Government Chairman then, about 30years ago.

Infrastructure Support Initiative

As every other Community was striving to have a say, know each other better, interact and engage both in Business and Socially, we leave no stone unturned by performing beyond expectations in the areas highlighted: Yearly we organize Carnivals, End of the Year Party or New Year Party and/or Luncheon. These have given us a reason to be proud that our Community is not lagging behind among others. In fact we are the envy of others in terms of Organisation, while others that we started with had ceased functioning a long time ago.

Youth & Young Adults Upliftment

Having discovered that the World is having sets of serious problems with Youths and Young Adults, in terms of Drug Abuse, Teenage Pregnancy, Religious Extremism, Knife and Gun Crime, we created a Youth League where some of those topics are discussed and also providing role Models to them.
